What will we do?

Through the Karibuni project we will contribute to the improvement of the literacy of children and youth by means of activities to encourage reading through initiatives such as a local library and an itinerant children’s library that motivates children and youth in street situations to read and allows them to enjoy a space for study, research and consultation, with updated bibliographic resources and access to computer resources and the internet.

The project also includes educational programs for young people and teacher training for quality education.

  • Training workshops to guide young university students and adults in finding employment.
  • 3 permanent children’s libraries with educational activities.
  • Promotion of a volunteer program to support reading promotion activities.
  • Training and reading promotion activities for groups or schools that request them.

InteRed works for education and literacy as a right that helps reduce poverty, increases economic opportunities and women’s autonomy, fosters participation in public life and self-awareness, and improves people’s life prospects and dignity.
